Wow! What an amazing weekend for our Headway Mont Orgueil Castle Challenge abseilers.
The weather was just perfect for the 40 intrepid ladies and gents with many, taking on this challenge of a lifetime, for the first time.
It was great to see groups of individuals become teams, all cheering each other on to successfully complete the training session at St. Catherine’s cliff face and then the iconic Mont Orgueil Castle Challenge abseil yesterday with the backdrop of a clear blue sky and views out over Grouville Bay and beyond.
Not only did they do tremendously well in completing the challenge, but also they excelled in their fundraising and in doing so this means the money raised continues to support our life changing services to those who have suffered a brain injury and their families.
We must say a very big thank you to John Fox of Jersey Adventures for his expert training and successfully guiding everyone to completing the challenge and to our hosts Jersey Heritage for allowing us to use the facilities of Mont Orgueil Castle.
