Who can buy a ticket?

Please note that the Headway 50/50 raffle is only open to people who are 18+ years old.

How will you verify my age?

All of our tickets will be sold face-to-face. If we believe that you look under the age of 18 then we will ask you to provide a form of ID to verify your age before you can purchase a ticket.

How do I buy a ticket?

Please see details above on the locations, dates and times you can purchase a ticket. You must provide payment in full at the time of purchase.

Can I choose my ticket number?

No, you cannot choose your ticket number. Each ticket will have a unique ticket number.

Can I buy my ticket online or over the phone?

No, we are only selling raffle tickets in person so we can verify that you are over the legal age to purchase a raffle ticket.

What information will I need to provide when purchasing a raffle ticket?

When purchasing a 50/50 raffle ticket, we will ask you to provide your full name, address, telephone number and email address. This will be include on the ticket stub which will be entered into the draw. This information will enable us to contact you, should  you win one of our prizes. We ask that you provide all this information to ensure that we don’t experience any issues if we need to get in touch with you.

How long will my details be kept and how will it be stored?

Headway (Jersey) Ltd will retain this data for a year and a day following the draw and the last prize has been distributed to winners.

We will hold on to all prizes up to 10 months after the draw has taken place. We will make every effort possible to contact all winners following the draw. If the winner of a prize is not contactable after this time period, the prize will revert to the charity fund or roll over for a future raffle for the benefit of Headway Jersey. Will my details be shared?

We will only share the name, contact number and prize details of the raffle prize winners with the Jersey Gambling Commission as part of our regulatory return report, in compliance with our permit conditions.

Can I get a refund?

No refunds are permitted once a ticket has been purchased, unless the raffle is cancelled or the ticket is void. If the raffle is cancelled or postponed, all participants will be notified. Once purchased, tickets are not transferable to another person.

Terms and conditions

Headway (Jersey) Ltd 50/50 raffle is an annual raffle. Each chance costs £5 per ticket. Upon receipt of full payment, we will issue the buyer with a unique ticket number, they will be asked to complete their contact details on the ticket stub, which will be given to the representative of the charity selling the tickets to ensure the ticket stub is entered into the draw.

Headway (Jersey) Ltd will not be using any gambling software to conduct the draw, this will be done by an individual (random selection).

Raffle tickets can only be sold to persons in Jersey who are over 18 years old. Employees of Headway (Jersey) Ltd are not eligible to purchase raffle tickets.

The top prize is a cash prize and is subject to increase as ticket sales increase. You can win a minimum of £1,000. The cash prize will be half of the total proceeds from ticket sales. There is a maximum number of 10,000 tickets for sale, therefore, the maximum amount the top prize could reach is £25,000.

Headway (Jersey) Ltd will communicate to the public over the time period of ticket sales, to inform them of the increasing cash prize amount.

The 2nd and 3rd prizes will not change once ticket sales commence.

No refunds are permitted once the ticket has been purchased, only in exceptional circumstances such as the raffle being cancelled or postponed.

In the unlikely event the raffle has to be cancelled or postponed, Headway (Jersey) Ltd will do everything in their power to inform all participants.

Tickets are not transferrable. Only ticket holders can claim a prize from their winning ticket. If they have elected to give a winning prize to a friend or someone else, it is their responsibility to act on this after they have claimed the prize. Headway (Jersey) Ltd will not liaise with anyone other than the name detailed on the winning ticket stub for prizes.

All winners must claim their prize within 10 months of the raffle being drawn. The Promoter will make every effort possible to contact all winners following the draw and will hold on to any unclaimed raffle prizes up to 10 months after the draw has taken place. If the winner of a prize is not contactable after this time period, the prize will revert to the charity fund or roll over for a future raffle for the benefit of Headway Jersey. The Promoter will contact the business that donated the prize to inform them that it has not be claimed and may request for the prize to be used in a future raffle or other fundraising event for the benefit of the charity, subject to the agreement of the business donating the prize. The promoter will also advise the JGC of any prizes still unclaimed after this period of time.

Any validation dates included on prizes have been set by the businesses that have donated the prizes and not Headway (Jersey) Limited. The Promoter will do everything possible to ensure prizes are collected as soon as possible, after the draw has taken place so that winners have enough time to use prizes within any time limits specified by the business provider.
